Dr. David Nicholson is an amazing surgeon with an excellent bedside manner. After years of chronic pain and a misdiagnosis from another specialist, I was pretty sure I'd just be in pain forever. I was told by another Newcastle specialist, "There is nothing more I can do". David has taken away my chronic pain and I am incredibly grateful. The entire staff were a pleasure to deal with.
Most amazing surgeon. Very engaging, informative as to procedure and easy to communicate with. I had a Total Ankle Replacement. Excellent recovery.
I had a great experience with Dr David Nicholson. From his administration team who were all super helpful and accommodating in finding the earliest appointment, to his sound and professional advice in exactly how to proceed with my toe joint issue. I felt immediately re-assured, have started with the first few treatments he proposed and am already able to start walking again without pain, after over a year of suffering. Thank you :)
Dr Nicholson operated on my ankle after breaking it walking my dogs. Initially I had emergency surgery through the public system with another surgeon and was told I would be in a moon boot for 3+ months so I went to see Dr Nicholson Privately, he took me back to theatres at 4 weeks from the initial surgery and I was walking the following day without aid. Such a wonderful surgeon. Highly recommend.
My wife sought advice on whether she should get a minor foot op prior to our wedding and a trek we had planned. On Dr Nicholson's advice, that it wouldn't be an issue, we went ahead with the operation. At the pre-paid post op visits she complained that something was wrong but was told each time everything was fine. Closer to the trek, and with no feeling in her foot, we requested to come in again.
