Had very horrible experience with doctor David Mateo MD terrible bedside manner second he walked in the room started questioning as to why I was suppose to be delivering at a different hospital rather then Port St. Lucie medical because “that’s where he normally works” and there “trying to raise there number for deliveries” after I told him because that’s what is affiliated with my regular OB but I was in there at Jupiter medical because it is the closet hospital to me and completely ignored the fact that I was there for wha... read more
Dr. Mateo was the only OB at the hospital when I was giving birth & he was very rude & dismissive when I told him I’d arranged to do delayed clamping yet he cut the cord anyways & dismissed everything I said to him if I could give him negative stars I definitely would. If he is the only OB on the floor clench your legs & please RUN to another hospital !!!

Dr Mateo rounded on me while in the hospital for my primary GYN during my hospital stay. Very rude bedside manner. I didn't appreciate the disrespectful and dismissive attitude from him and his resident (the female resident, not the male). When you are in the hospital, you are obviously not feeling your best. Compassion and empathy go a long way. Thank goodness he isn't my primary GYN.
Dr Mateo is the best obgyn around! I had a high risk pregnancy due to gestational diabetes and a prior shoulder dystocia. Dr Mateo took his time to explain everything so that I would feel comfortable with my decision whether I chose vaginal or c section. I decided to go ahead with a c section and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. On top of that my scar looks AMAZING!!! Thank you Dr Mateo!!! I will you have deliver all my future babies
