I have been a patient of Dr Manning's since 2022 for cataracts and extremely hard to treat glaucoma.He is absolutely brilliant.To think after 60 odd years I only have to wear magnifying glasses for close up work is amazing.I am still under his care for glaucoma,and so far things are going better than we both thought.I have 100% faith in him.He doesn't sugar coat things (which is good).He's rooms are always very busy,which shows me just how good he is.Everyone is only to pleased to help you.To be able to see without glasses i... read more
Merryn is a very attentive nurse who attended to me pre surgery for Laser Iridotomy by Dr Manning. I am grateful to her for communicating clearly and answering my questions. The procedure itself was carried out in an efficient and direct manner. I would encourage patients to ask any questions pre surgery. Clinic staff were warm and helpful.
I had a very negative experience of Dr Manning for cataract surgery. In my opinion, his communication was very poor. He had no discussion with me about lens type until I raised it and he then very reluctantly addressed the options. I had problems post surgery and he repeatedly muttered ‘text book case’ and ‘all perfect’ as if that made everything okay. I found him to be rude, in fact, upsettingly so. I have since sought a second opinion and am receiving the treatment I need to address the issues I was left with.
