By the time I was under Dr. Greenwald's care in 2017, I had experienced 50% loss in use of my right leg due to nerve compression the in L5 area of my spine. Six months after surgical removal of sheared disc and insertion of two titanium screws for additional spinal support, I am progressively gaining strength in my right leg and no longer experience pain in my lower back. I was referred to Dr. Greenwald by another neurosurgeon because he specialized in scoliosis. I had to travel 80 miles round trip to get to his office and when I arrived for my first appointment II was surprised to only have an appointment with his PA, Patrick. After obtaining a requested CT scan and x-rays I went to my second appointment only to find no doctor and the PA again. Very unprofessional treatment in my view.
I found Dr. Greenwald to be extremely empathetic My surgery was one year ago. Although recovery took a long time (understandably) I'm happy to report that I've been absolutely pain free for several months. It took a while to warm up to one of his PAs, but he really grew on me.
This was the most frustrating doctor's office I have ever visited. The wait time was well over 2 hours for both my visits and I was not given an apology either time. Both the doctor and PA were unfriendly and made me feel very uneasy. I felt as though my concerns were not thoroughly addressed, more like I was in the way and not welcome. The nurse and the person who checks patients out were the only pleasant people in the entire office. I will not be scheduling any more visits.
Very thoughtful and caring Trustworthy
There is nothing negative that I can say about Dr. Greenwald or his staff. Our experience with Dr. Greenwald has resulted in a very positive outcome so far. My cervical stenosis surgery went smooth last week and we are already seeing good results. Dr. Greenwald and his staff make going through this difficult procedure easy. If there is one thing that could use improvement is the wait time to see Dr. Greenwald, but he is worth the wait.
Had my first visit last week. Waited a little bit but it was worth it. Everyone was incredibly nice and Dr Greenwald was amazing and so kind! I will def recommend him and his office to anyone!!!
It was my first appointment with Dr. Greenwald to have surgery on my spine. It was a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes wait. No apology for the delay. Very inconsiderate.
