Dr. Fish is great! These 1 star reviews I've read seem bitter and defensive, and 100% not my experience. I was referred to Dr. Fish for chronic back pain, and sciatica like neuropathic pain in my leg that was not improving. I also had hip surgery a year ago that could be a contributing factor. Dr. Fish analyzed my reports, and I personally requested we explore all options other than back surgery. Dr. Fish recommended a spinal cord stimulator, which is less invasive than back surgery, with less risks or problems down the road... read more

There are some doctors that take time, listen to you, and show a real interest in explaining what’s causing your symptoms. Dr. fish is not that kind of doctor. He rushes you. He’s dismissive. I left, not knowing anything more about what’s causing my symptoms, but he’ll get a payment from my insurance company. He has clearly reached a point in his career, where he is just coasting along.

He's been caring, thoughtful and kind. Not dismissive at all, like other UCLA doctors. Takes great interest in trying to releave you of pain. He responds to any questions timely. He has a great team. I'm having a huge problem scheduling a procedure that insurance approved a week ago, but thats a different department at UCLA causing the delay.

I am shocked by the reviews. I was checked in and in a room within fifteen minutes. The resident tended to cut me off. After consulting with Dr. Fish, they both came back. I felt heard, understood, and my options were clear. An mri is needed to determine treatment. My symptoms are obvious. I look forward to meeting with him again.

Dr. Fish is the worst doctor I’ve ever dealt with. It seems like he hates his job, which is a shame because people relay on his expertise for help. He does not listen, cuts you off, and to an extend belitteles you. Please do not see Dr. Fish! Send you time and effort on another doctor! However, the staff is nice and caring.

The doctor acts like he doesn't want to be in the room. Seems afraid to give real advice from personal experience. Doctor fails to give comprehensive care and provide pt with information or options with potential outcomes. A resident could have done the same job as him if not better
