The doctor is kind, listens well and inspires the patient.
I was recommended to Dr. Purselle when my medicine that my General Practitioner was prescribing me was not covering my severe depression and anxiety. My first appointment was very thorough, and he asked about my background and what was contributing to my increased depression and anxiety. He worked with me to find the perfect combination of medications, with out over prescribing. When I was able to start coming off of some of my medications, he guided me so I could safely reduce my medications.
Dr. Purselle is a provides excellent treatment for patients with many different psychiatric issues. He is very knowledgeable on the medications and there side effects. My previous psychiatrist provided medications that increased my anxiety when taken together and Dr. Purselle assisted in getting me on the right treatment for my individual needs.
Made an appointment (initial appointment) almost 6 weeks in advance. Then, the week of the appointment, went to confirm and was told they needed to move an additional 7 weeks out! People need care, what are you thinking? Very unprofessional.
He's very sharp, knowledgeable from a medical AND psychiatric background, is caring, excellent at explaining treatment options/answering questions, & is very personable. I saw many specialists for my mental health condition until one day, I was given a medication that caused a severe allergic reaction & led me to be hospitalized. It wiped out what I could safely take for my mental health disorder, & he was the only doctor I was told I should see due to his medical background--excellent advice!
