Doctor B has been taking care of my children and Grandchildren for 34 years. We love his attention to detail and his bedside manner with the kids, he is awesome. I hope he never retires! Sorry Doc.. Everyone in the office is great.
Dr. Boxstein has been our family doctor for almost 11 years! He is kind, takes his time and answers all of my questions. My kids love him and feel so comfortable with him. Over the years I have had my new Mom to experienced Mom freakouts with him. He has always met my questions and concerns with curiosity, understanding and a sense of calm. I recommend him highly.
Dr Boxtein is arrogant, belittling, dismissive & cold. Will treat you like cattle. I called in after hours with a concern in regards to post vaccination side effects my daughter was experiencing - high fever, stomach ache, aching, cold feet, headache etc. His regard toward my concern was completely arrogant from the get go. Right off hand he treated me like I am an idio who is bothering him. The worst bedside manner I've ever come across! Why is he still in pediatrics?! Horrible personality!!
We were new to town and frustrated by not knowing where to find good medical care on a regular basis for our kids (as well as ourself - another subject). After trying a few places I wanted to go back home to another state. Finally, I asked our neighbor for a referral and this is the doctor she gave us. We were new to Burbank and looking for a good pede. We went there b/c it was nearby and found the waiting room to be really univiting and out of date and frankly, dirty. There was no separate sick/well waiting room and my husband had to take my child outside while another baby sounded like whooping cough inside. He is one awful doctor.My daughter was just a few days old and didn't stop crying.Instead of soothing a desperate new mom,he was plainly rude and arrogant.He suggested I let my baby cry bcoz that's how babies drain their energy and sleep off.I couldn;t let that happen to my baby.I just overlooked that incident thinking myself to be very vulnerable seeing my baby constantly crying for 3 nights.Second time,I took my child in was when she totally stopped feeding and was choking on bottle all the time.Again,my taking her in to h... read more
Wonderful and caring pediatrician Dr. Boxstein is a wonderful pediatrician. He always takes the time to talk to the parent before examining the patient. He answers all questions patiently and thoroughly. He is very considerate of the first time mom questions! PROS: Caring staff CONS: none

Caring pediatrics Dr. Boxstein is a wonderful, caring pediatrician. He does an excellent job reassuring both young children and young parents. He listens with compassionate ear and doesn't make you feel dumb if you ask alot of questions. His treatment style is conservative and he doesn't put young children through unnecessary tests. His staff is very kind and they accept most insurance plans.
