The last time i saw Dr. Welborn, she grabbed my hands and insisted on praying with me. Totally inappropriate, unprofessional behavior. Made me feel really uncomfortable. The last 2 times I went to her office, I was passed off to PAs or NPs despite the fact that I had made an appointment with Dr. Welborn.
Initially I was very pleased with this practice and the providers. Unfortunately, staffing changes resulted in what I felt was a poorer level of care with providers that were not up to the quality standards I expect. Dr. Wellborn has minimal involvement in the practice and the majority of care is provided by physician's assistants and nurse practitioners. I expressed my concerns that I wasn't able to see a provider after 3:00pm, and after being a patient here for over five years, they dropped
Dr. Welborn is one of the most caring and wisest doctors I have ever had. She understands my many health issues and is okay with me using OTC supplements instead of drugs to help heal and maintain my health issues. All the staff is the best from appointment setters, check in to check out. Having a Born Again Christian doctor is a blessing to me, when I am having a down day she will pray with me.
I have been a patient of Dr. Welborn Since 3/2011. Prior to that I had received medical services through the military as a dependent for insurance reasons. Dr. Welborn actually listens to her patients. Only negative but does not need lessen my review --wait times. Yes there are wait times sometimes. However, I am prepared for that and know that she is just helping another person feel better by listening to her patients. Thank you Dr. Welborn for being caring and helping me feel better.
She's the typical Vegas doctor. She's really good at treating people with the most common ailments, but once it comes to something new or uncommon to her, she won't do her research correctly, and by default will go ahead and prescribe antibiotics. Welborn will not look at your medical history, so if you're allergic to something, she might still prescribe it to you, despite the fact that it might almost kill you. She's costed me thousands of dollars out of my pocket I feel she owes me.
I've been going to Dr. Welborn for eight years and love the providers and the staff. Their commitment to treating the patient as a whole is great and very hard to find in one physician yet alone three! There are times the wait is long (45 minutes) but they have gotten me on the same day I've called with onset of flu or respiratory illness.
