Dr. Penello gave me my hands back! Using cutting edge techniques he has taken my hands from excruciating pain, weakness and loss of use to 100%! I can’t recommend him enough.
Dr. Panello operated on my thumb joint to relieve the pain from arthritis. My husband had the same surgery 2 years ago and he is able to golf, bowl and do anything else that he wants. He was very satisfied. My experience is equally good. Dr. Panello is so nice and does an excellent job explaining what needs to be done. His office staff are all pleasant and helpful. The staff at the surgery center were great. I have referred 3 friends and all 3 of them were happy with their experiences with Dr. Panello.
I had a bump on my hand and before any diagnosis, Dr P ordered an MRI. It came back as a giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath. Sounds scary right? He calmed my nerves, told me surgery was needed and set it up right away. There was minimal down time, and recovery was a breeze. He explained everything he did to me in general terms which was nice. The worst orthopedic surgeon I have ever experienced. Dr Penello repeatedly lied to me make decisions without fats. When I confront him he blame someone else. I went there with high hopes and I left with the worst experience ever.

Dr. Penello has treated me for epicondylitis and tear in both elbows. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He took time to explain to me exactly what I needed and what he was doing. He was not abrupt like many doctors can be. I would highly recommend Dr. Pennelo for anyone with elbow problems.
Dr. Penello performed a distal bicep repair on my arm in February of 2019. It was the first surgery I had ever gone through and he talked me through the entire process. He had great bedside manner and was very thorough. At my 6 week check up, I had full range of motion with no pain. Now three months out I can do everything I could do before. I would highly recommend Dr. Penello.
Dr. Penello performed a left thumb trapeziectomy with suspensionplasty 7/31/2018 due to severe arthritis at the first carpometacarpal joint. Prior to surgery my left hand was in constant pain and had restrictive function. Since the surgery I am pain free and have no limitations of the left hand! Dr. Penello is an excellent surgeon and I am over-joyed with the results. I definitely recommend Dr. Penello!
Dr. Penello did carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand in March of 2018. I am right handed. I had not been able to sleep through the night for about 4 months because of the pain. Surgery was day surgery and pain level was very low. I slept that night all night for the first time in months. Healing is now completed. I had "severe" carpal tunnel and now I can do all the things I had to give up. Dr. Penello is personable, talented and informs you well and his staff is excellent.
