My Dr retired which forced me to find a new doctor instead of looking outside the practice. I just went with Dr. Merki who recently came on the practice. He is thorough and a good listening and caring however, I feel that he should be able to make more options available as a treatment plan for his patient. He is too quick to write a prescription for pharmaceuticals and this is the only thing that stands between him being an even better doctor.
I have been a patient of Dr. Merki for 21 years. He is very kind, great listener and outstanding diagnostician.
Dr. Merki is hands down the best doctor I've ever had. He takes time with you, explains everything to you with an impressive depth of knowledge, and you leave feeling that he is totally invested in and has addressed every aspect of your medical care. He is also respectful of your time and expresses such. Because of his commitment to you as a patient, it makes you want to do better, as well. Highly recommended.
Dr, Merki is caring, and the first I've had to take blood pressure with the arm elevated to heart-level. He had me rest my arm in his hands, and kept after me till I was fully resting it, to get a true reading. That is the first of many things I could say that were positive!
