The intensity of ECT has left my partner with no memory of most of her life, no memory of her education, total disruption of her master's degree, and day to day struggles with memory. She was warned that ECT could cause some memory loss. The some turned out to be about 80% of her life. Please do further research on ECT before you get talked into it being a safe treatment for mental health.

I was dropped like a hot potato, after I started complaining of severe memory loss. No phone call, no how you doing, nothing after 9 months of ECT with Dr. Fisher.
