Dana Weinkle has been my ophthalmologist for the last 20 plus years. As I have gotten older, like many of us, my vision has deteriorated. I recently had surgery to treat the cataracts in both eyes. This doctor has to be one of the most unhelpful and least compassionate I’ve ever dealt with. After TSA confiscated my aunt’s antibiotics, I called to ask if he could refill her prescription. Instead of helping, he went off on me. When I asked for her medical records so we could see someone else, he just kept yelling and offered no solutons. Now my aunt doesn’t have the medication she needs because he couldn’t be profesionall or show any empathy.
Dr. Dana Weinkle is the greatest. My wife, who is dealing with macular degeneration has total confidence in Dr, Weinkle, as do I. As a diabetic, I was worried about having new lenses and procrastinated for two years as I was worried that I could have a shooting pain during surgery and jump. Dr. Dana Weinkle just completed my second cataract surgery. I used to joke that my next dog would be a seeing eye dog-my astigmatism was that bad! I just left his office and was told that I don’t need prescription eyeglasses anymore. What a miracle! I never expected this type of correction, but Dr. Weinkle inserted the best lens for both my eyes and I am seeing things I did not even know existed, like blades of grass. Last June, 2022, while in Michigan, I had a horrible experience with cataract surgery on my right eye. It's Feb 2023 and my Retinal specialist in Florida said my right eye is finally recovered enough for me to undergo needed cataract surgery on my left eye. My Florida Retinal specialist referred me to Dr. Dana Weinkle, because he said Dr. Weinkle is the best in this area.
