About 3 months ago, I unfortunately suffered a "retinal occlusion with severe macular edema" - basically an eye stroke. I lost most of the vision in my right eye, and at 43 years of age, I was horrified at the prospect of this occurring again. I was referred to Dr. Ekstrum through my ophthalmologist as a primary physician - my previous one being completely distant and dismissive. Dr. Ekstrum has been nothing short of AMAZING. I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about them making a mistake or forgetting something. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care.
