Prescription should be sent out to the pharmacy as soon as the patient walks out of the door or at least the same day. I was told that they normally send it out the next day because they are busy. Followed up with my pharmacy after 24 hrs and still the prescription hasn’t reached them. Whoever are responsible for sending out prescriptions should consider the urgency of the need of the patient.
