If you want a psychiatrist who will give up on you in your most critical time of need then Dr. Garman is the right psychiatrist for you. She may have experience but if you are looking for someone to address serious mental illness she is not the right person. She is on her way out of practicing and conducts her therapy as such. If you want someone who is ready to retire and not dedicated to your well being then sign on with her.
Dr. Garman listens carefully and is very caring. I would highly recommended her.
It took leaving 3 messages and a week and a half to get a call back, only to have Dr. Garman decide she doesn't want me as a patient and she wouldn't even give a reason. It would just seem like common decency and be more professional to explain why she refused to see me.
