Similar experience but fortunately only half the cost. Went for a consultation, felt like I negotiating for a used car. Finally agreed to half the cost for half the visits. That was my first mistake. Dr. Aderholdt took an x-ray of my back. He said I did not need an MRI, that he could see right away that I had two bulging disks on L4 and L5. He said I needed about 28 to 30 sessions on his Vax-D machine at $5500 and that my insurance had been checked by his office girl and they would pay for half, in which they did not. I had 5 sessions in 5 days and then 3 x a week after that until I had done the 30 sessions. I ask one of the girl that was doing the treatment what her training had been for this job.
