I was referred to Dr. Corey Edgar for a surgical evaluation after over a year of ongoing knee issues, including documented patellar maltracking and failure to improve with physical therapy. Despite a clear clinical case for surgical consideration, Dr. Edgar denied the referral — not based on medical reasoning, but reportedly because he felt “uncomfortable.” That is not a valid clinical justification to deny treatment, especially for a structurally significant, worsening orthopedic injury. Totally jaw dropped by Doctor Edgars secretary but the audacity, Dr. Edgar himself had to call me the patient and in his own way, try to belittle me about communication. Everything on my end was done preop paperwork faxed was told they never received it and they would have to cancel the surgery. I begged and pleaded was told to get the paperwork faxed immediately I did just that, it was faxed four more times, just to be told it was never received.
