Totally jaw dropped by Doctor Edgars secretary but the audacity, Dr. Edgar himself had to call me the patient and in his own way, try to belittle me about communication. Everything on my end was done preop paperwork faxed was told they never received it and they would have to cancel the surgery. I begged and pleaded was told to get the paperwork faxed immediately I did just that, it was faxed four more times, just to be told it was never received. Dr. Edgar makes up in hubris what he lacks in bedside manners. After performing surgery on our child, he had the audacity to say that, months after surgery, the continued shoulder pain ”is all in her head.” Months of PT later, Dr. Edgar referred us out of the UConn Medical Center, Storrs office to an off-site location on the UConn campus with a sports trainer to try out a newly developed medical device for the shoulder. Dr. Edgar is an amazing doctor and surgeon. He is one of the kindest physicians I have ever come across. When I needed a surgery within a specific time frame due to school, Dr. Edgar was the only surgeon to step in and reassure me about the situation and work around my hectic schedule to fit me in for visits and the surgery. Additionally, Dr. Edgar goes above and beyond to take care of me for follow ups when I am home from school, going as far as coming to a different facility during his short lunch break just to see me in p... read more
