As a former hospital executive at top rated teaching hospitals,I chose Corey Burak M.D. as my Orthopedic Surgeon,even though he wasn't operating at my hospitals, to replace both my knees and a hip. The outcome and quick recoveries were flawless.

Dr. Burak replaced my hip via anterior(by far less invasive) walking a mile in about a week. Recently operated on my knee fin a total knee replacement, in approx. a month scar healed and walking without a cane. For these two procedures, i as a former teaching hospital CEO I can say, i believe he is a very talented surgeon.

After hearing about Dr. Burak at my Chiropractors office(Dr. Bisogni) I decided to continue doing my due diligence and once I decided that the Anterior approach was what I needed I also decided not to confuse myself by going into NY(Manhattan) to HSS or NYU. Well all I can say is I'm so very glad I listened to my own instincts and focused on the awesome reputation Corey Burak has earned. After 14 days wow what a difference! Never needed a walker, up the stairs, down and very thankful to Dr Burak

Excellent experience and results. Almost two years since surgery. Why did I put it off? Dr. Burak obviously knows what he is doing. The entire experience on day of surgery was smooth and free of anxiety. Only surgery I ever had. Never even had ears pierced! At age 76 I was very apprehensive about it all. Phelps Hospital, nurses, staff and even the food all get five stars. Dr. Burak was recommended to my by two patients and I have since had two friends who took my recommendation.

Dr. Burak replaced my hip in May 2017. He did an excellent job, my pain was gone immediately. I didn't have to take any pain medication. I was driving within two weeks. He is a master at this operation. He is a kind, sensitive and compassionate Doctor. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Burak, his staff and the staff at Phelps Hospital. When I see people with obvious hip pain I quickly tell the person of my experience with Dr. Burak and that they do not need to suffer any more.

mistreated patient under care for one year did injections and he said when your ready to do surgery let me know. scheduled surgery and had an appt. dr said "what makes you think i would do surgery on you, you are morbidly obese" never once did he say anything about my weight. he said i would rather operate on someone who has severe heart failure than you. would not provide me with my medical records or any pain med in the meantime said to go to your primary dr. he made me waste a year

Twice in the past few years I've hobbled into Dr. Burak's office, to walk out in greatly improved condition. He's been kind, communicative, and his treatment effective. I also appreciate having been able to see him promptly for an urgent condition.
