I had a very bad motorcycle accident many years ago. I basically broke my right shoulder & pulled out most of my nerves to my right arm. Dr Gschwind operated on me & did what she could to give me back functionality to my arm. She did warn me that if I allowed her to try to reattach the torn nerves, I might end up in a wheel chair to which I refused. After more than 8 years of chronic pain and lack of power in my arm that was previously attributed as a "repetitive strain injury" by other doctors, I was referred to Dr Gschwind. She was exceedingly thorough in her approach to diagnosing the cause of my condition and was very successful in rectifying the problem surgically. I had no recurrence of my symptoms post-surgery and the surgical site healed beautifully with only a very minimally-visible scar hidden in the crease of my wrist (see photo attached).
