I felt dismissed and that my symptoms were not taken seriously. The doctor did not ask enough questions before attributing my concerns to anxiety. He told me, “If you didn’t have this symptom to focus on, you would just focus on another one.” He also made the unsolicited and inappropriate comment, “Men are not looking at your swallowing; they’re looking at other things because you’re a woman.” I never mentioned men in my conversation. My son came to Dr. Slack to see why he was having swallowing issues and he diagnosed him with anxiety and severe OCD. FYI, Dr. Slack, my son was diagnosed professionally with Akathisia! Look it up and don’t be too quick to misdiagnose a patient without finding out all the facts! Also, by the way, since when are you a psychiatrist now too?

Great experience! He was able to get me in same day as I thought I had a ruptured eardrum. He reassured me that I did not and told me what abx to take for my ear infection. I would highly recommend going here!
