Recently, I had my first visit to Chico Cardiology. The staff were friendly and helpful including the nurse whom I initially met with. My cardiologist was Dr Massa. This isn’t exactly the format to discuss my opinion as it relates to his professional advice but suffice it to say, he had the worst bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever been to. Unfortunately I have not had a good experience with follow-up from Dr. Massa or Renee his assistant. Or Ashley one of the other assistants. Or Haley a nurse who fills in for Renee. Here is my story. Earlier this year I had a Medtronics heart monitor implanted in my chest to see why I was passing out on occasion over the last years. I had an appointment with Dr Massa last month. They are booked three months out, so I was anxious to see him. I have a family history of cardiovascular illness with familial hypercholesterolemia and sudden death in at least two first degree relatives. I have an abnormality of my coronary arteries, and have had angiography on two occasions. Great Doctor, I would highly recommend Dr. Massa, he explained everything he was going to do in great detail, the community is lucky to have a top notch cardiologist like Dr. Massa in our area, I highly recommend Dr. Massa for any cardiologist issues.
Dr. Massa is a great Cardiologist, very straight forward. Willing to spend the time needed. His assistant, Renee, is also fantastic and compassionate.
