Dr Dougherty wanted to do an unnecessary surgury that would have put me out for 6 weeks and a lifetime of physical therapy Something in my gut told me to run the day of surgery. I drove straight to northwest who actually took the appropriate X-rays which dr Dougherty did not and found out I needed a much less invasive surgery because my shoulder tendons were NOT torn, but being compressed Although I have to say the staff and dr Dougherty himself are kind loving people. I have seen Dr. Dougherty since 2006. He has done two surgeries on me. And has done multiple steroid shots in my knees and elbows. He doesn’t hurry and push you through like cattle he listens to what is going on. He has even done a surgery on my daughter. So if you are looking for an orthopedic / sports medicine doctor he would be my first choice.
I had the absolute best experience and surgery with Dr Dougherty. My orthopedic surgeon that ive gone to for years sent me to him. So he could do it arthroscopy. Ive had hardly had any pain at all after surgery and feel so great. This is the 1st surgery I've had and not been miserable after I've woken up. He is just outstanding and the sweetest guy! You will not be disappointed!
I really only want the best orthopedic surgeon operating on me, and that's what I got here. Like all good orthos, you get a little extra confidence in a doc's bedside manner, but Dr. Dougherty really seems to care about his patient's well-being. And, he is extremely knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice. (The entire staff is friendly and professional, too!)
