Fell through a porch. Ouch. Went to the er. Ouch Did the follow up. Ouch Surgery to install a plate next week. Im betting it will result in another ouch. But its better than a wheelchair. Putting my foot in their hands. Yuck! Poor them. Follow up. .... had the surgery to install a plate. Went well. The prep nurse Shannon was wonderful. I fell down on October 26 and rammed my left knee cap onto the edge of a concrete block. Broke that sucker right in half. The knee, not the concrete block. After a delay to get swelling down and to build a low sodium level, Dr. Wise operated on me to put the knee back together. It has been 6 weeks since surgery. The break is healed and I am out of the wheelchair and on a walker learning how to walk again. I have heard that Dr. Wise is about the best surgeon when it comes to traumatic knee injury.
