I admire Dr Demers for his professional excellence and, to his credit, hind sight sharpens my perspective. He did not interpret the extent of my emotional disorder in that I am inclined to depression and anxiety. My response may have been atypical. While Dr Demers was indeed honest, he did not seem to be sensitive to my panic which was genuinely indicated. My obsessive research did not guide me toward a decision. I finally made one based on a last minute 2nd opinion that had the benefit of 2 months of speculation to support ... read more
Dr. Demers did surgery on my spine to relieve back and leg pain in both legs. Woke up after surgery with all pain gone. He is a friendly people person. This was the 3rd back surgery I had over the span of my life and glad to say they were are successful. Should I encounter problems with my back in the future I will not have to search out a good neurosurgeon.
I visited Demers for the first time about 1.5 years ago with low back pain. He was very dismissive and said it will probably go away and sent me off to physical therapy. Now, 1.5 years later I still have the back pain (have seen multiple people) and decided to see Demers again. He was dismissive again and told me "it's something you'll just have to live with" and continued to be arrogant and talked down to me. I would not recommend seeing him. Jen was great, she was compassionate and actually cared about my pain. Demers was ... read more
Dr Demers did my surgery. He was so nice, so attentive, so caring. His nurse practitioners are brilliant and nice as well. The office calls me back within a few hours, not a couple days. The wait times are expected. They have in-house imaging which is convenient for anything concerning.
Before submitting to surgery, find out if there are other options such as "wait and see if it gets better on its own" Get a second opinion as some surgeons are quicker to "cut" than are others. Ask your family doctor for an opinion.
Dr Demers is an EXCEPTIONAL Physician/Surgeon! He is not only extremely thorough and knowledgable, but is kind, caring and always puts his patients first and foremost! There truly are so many reasons why Dr. Demers comes so highly reccommended! Dr. Demers, Jen M. and his entire staff at Sierra Neurosugery are THE best out there! They are all extremely confident, capable, expiditious and empathetic. I have the utmost trust in and respect for Dr. Demers and cannot say enough about the care that I have and continue to recieve. ... read more

Dr. Demers is so kind, caring, patient, compassionate and knowledgeable!!!! I am grateful to have him as my surgeon!!
I would highly recommend Dr. Demers. After 4 years of lower back pain that limited my activities and travel plans, I was introduced to Dr. Demers. He performed an easy out-patient procedure that totally relieved my back pain. I am so thankful and back to a pain free life!!
