I had a floating clavicle up to my throat and Dr. Schmidt removed the remaining clavicle bone and reconstructed my shoulder with ligament. Dr. Schmidt is an exceptional surgeon hands down I highly recommend him for orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Schmidt performed reverse shoulder surgery on me in December of 2023. Best I have felt in over 20 years, tremendous and thorough doctor and a great man. Many thanks to he and his staff.
My left Supra spinatus tore at work in sept of 2018. It was repaired by Dr Laefeld who was my workmen’s comp surgeon. My right tore in December 2018. It was repaired by Dr. McMahon in April 2019. By September 2019 both surgeries had failed. I was then severely handicapped. I first saw Dr Schmidt in September 2019. He was the top rated shoulder surgeon at Upmc at that time. At first he tried p/t n then p/t and cortisone in my right. We left the left alone because I’m right handed n getting my right back seemed more important.... read more
Dr. Schmidt is excellent! I was experiencing elbow pain for almost two years. He diagnosed a multitude of issues in my elbow, and performed successful surgery on it. He alleviated my excruciating pain. Dr. Schmidt is exceptional.
Dr Schmidt is brilliant, empathetic, kind, and a surgeon who spent time to listen to me and my husband’s about my unique physical situation and included me in his analysis and recommendations for steps to go forward with possible conservative therapy or possible surgery with a difficult recovery. Therapy helped me despite all odds and he was thrilled for my not needing surgery. Highly recommend!
