Dr. Helou was referred to me by my OBGYN. After suffering for too many years with a large fibroid, it was time to get my health in check. I got a partial hysterectomy with a large fibroid removal. She was kind, she listened to my concerns and did a fantastic job. My life after surgery has been nothing but truly amazing—wish I’d done it sooner. I had an amazing experience with her. She is a wonderful doctor. She was extremely knowledgeable and kind throughout my time with her. Before and after my surgery she answered all of my questions and handled any concerns that I had about my procedure. She was great about listening to me and also talking me through every step that we would take. I have recommended her to everyone I can. She is the best.
Dr. Helou is that rare doctor who is incredibly skilled, fun to talk to, listens to every concern, is diligent in her replies and preparation, and has such a calming demeanor. I had a pretty difficult surgery (5ish hours, 2lb Fibroid, endometriosis, hysterectomy) and she comforted me through the diagnosis (I'm a crier), talked me through the preparation (I'm a planner), and was there for any questions I had in my recovery. This has been a long time coming. She has single handedly changed my life! I am almost 8 months post opp, My periods and endometriosis have been a breeze compared to before. I had a severe case of fibriods, and she did everything she could to preserve my uterus. Even with my complications, she was there advocating for me to have my chance to become a mom. I am forever grateful to her and hope to show any future children I may be blessed with to her. She is trustworthy and caring. I can't say enough.
