It is January 2026, and the Charlotte area is under attack from cold and flu everywhere. I saw Dr. Zauner when she was covering the Atrium ER in Pineville. All the regular rooms were filled, and patients overflowed into the hallways. I heard coughing and babies crying in the background. My 85 year old mother was lucky to be inside a room (with privacy). This happened at the ER in Steele Creek. This provider is Extremely rude and disrespectful with her patients. She told me (the patient) that she didn’t believe my symptoms, and what I was saying didn’t align with what she saw. Basically called me a liar. She didn’t even examine me at all, and just let the nurse do all the work. Extremely impatient, rushes her patients and makes you feel like just a number. Terrible bedside manner and no compassion. My favorite statement was, “well, what more do you want” after being in the room for 2 whole minutes with an inaccurate diagnosis. When I asked for a second opinion all I got was “once you’ve seen one doctor we don’t give another opinion.” Highly recommend avoiding the Pineville ER when she’s working. Rude and unprofessional is an understatement.
