Dr Chen and his staff have taken care of my chronic illness since 2015. They are the best in the world as far as I am concerned. I’d hate to speculate where I would be without them.
Very bad experience after experience. I waited several years to write this review. Long story short, my husband had severe gastro/abdominal/duodenum pain amongst numerous other symptoms (dizzy, chills, vago-vasal response, etc.) and this DR kept pushing biologics when it turns out he never had Crohn's to begin with. After 2 biologics didn't work at all (just made symptoms worse) he kept telling him in was in his head then tried to push SSRIs - nope. Dr. Chen is considered a very good clinician and came highly recommended. Unfortunately my personal experience left much to be desired. Dr. Chen acted unprofessionally by speaking poorly about my previous doctor - a former Wash U doctor who has since relocated. It was difficult to tell if Chen was more interested in proving that doctor wrong or in establishing a proper diagnosis for me. I love Dr. Chen, He saved my husband's life. We were referred to him from Springfield Cox. My husband has Chrone's disease which flared up after years of remission His weight (170 to 116) On our first appointment, Dr. Chen immediately set him up for a colonoscopy. He admitted him, surgically implanted a feeding device to get nutrition going into him, and set us up with a local company that would deliver the nutrition bags weekly.
