I went in for my annual, having changed from my old doctor. Filled out the new patient forms and waited. MD seemed nice as we chatted a bit. I remember telling Dr. Okasi to please use the small speculum before the exam. She nodded yes but said nothing verbally. As soon as the speculum was opened, I let out such a scream! I wanted to find a good OBGYN physician that cared about their patients (especially women of color!), have good bedside manner and truly listen and are concerned about their patients. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE read the reviews, specifically the lower ratings! Beware!!! If there is a positive review, it is more than likely a new patient who does not know this place well just yet! I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Okasi to get my hormonal profile (blood work) done since I have almost every perimenopause symptom possible except for hot flashes & night sweats. Right away the med tech told me I needed to have a wellness exam/pap smear done. I told her my insurance wouldn’t cover that until 11/2/25.
