In the last years of the pandemic, I wrote a solo play to meet that particular historical moment. A NAGGING FEELING BEST NOT IGNORED was designed to be performed entirely on Zoom for small audiences of no more than 49 at a time. I had more trauma when leaving Arutt's "care "than when I started therapy 6 yrs prior. I believe her to be manipulative. As a patient in crisis , I was abandoned with no resolutions. For example, when I called in crisis towards the end of treatment she was dismissive of my needs When she finally called back the first thing she said was "you have ten mins". She was careless and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.
As a sensitive and creative person, there have been a number of experiences in my life that have impacted me in negative ways - as happens for most people. With her caring and gentle counseling, and use of emotional change techniques, Dr. Arutt helped me change my ongoing responses to those experiences, to feel more emotionally healthy.
I'm a long-time client of Dr. Arutt's, and I can't recommend her highly enough. Insightful, supportive, wise and with a keen understanding of the mindset of the creative person/artist. I'd be pretty well lost without her guidance. She's outstanding by any and every measure.
I can only speak the highest of Dr Cheryl Arutt. She is such an outstaning, wonderful, and smart woman. As a Dr, she helped me through a very traumatic time in my life. i look back at the sessions i had with her and think of them as the most helpful, inpiring and life changing experiences. Svenja
