I went to Adelmann because staff told me he was open to non sedation colonoscopy. I booked appointment, went. When I met with him he told me he would not do that. His reasoning was totally fine but I wish staff would have told me this instead of wasting 2 months of my time. He also told me my prep would be the most horrible torture and I would be cursing to the gods because he wanted to be real with me, which I appreciated but my prep was a breeze and gentle. If you are a young adult, please reconsider your GI provider. I saw Dr. Adelmann at 18 years old with a very convincing case of IBD. He refused to perform a colonoscopy because I was "too young". He then proceeded to perform an endoscopy which was not indicated based on my symptoms. Seek out a provider who will listen to you and do what is in your best interest.
He's amazing
Dr. Adelmann is an outstanding doctor. He is extremely smart, very easy to talk to, friendly and caring. He’s the best!
