I've been a patient of Dr. Bassett's for 7 years now. He's such an amazing Dr. He's very knowledgeable, always explained things to me, made me feel totally comfortable, never rushed or quick to dismiss like some Dr's do. He's also a wonderful, skilled surgeon. I just had a hysterectomy in October, performed by Dr. Bassett and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Bassett is great. After having a horrible experience with my first daughter's Doctor pushing me to have every test imaginable he was a breath of fresh air and listed to everything that I really wanted. Being geriatric pregnancy was tough both times but he made the second one smooth sailing and my little girl is now 6 years old.
He’s worse! This man took advantage of the fact that I am a immigrant and don’t know much of how the process of prenatal visits are done , being that it’s my first pregnancy. Throughout my prenatal visits with him, he only checked my baby’s heartbeat. He never did the urine test to throughout my visits to track any disease or whatsoever that can be a harm to my child.
This rating is coming 16 years to the day after I had my son and Dr. Bassett was my OB doc. Let me preface this with I was young dumb when I got pregnant. I was 22 and a single mom and didn't really know better with a lot of things. However, Dr. Bassett never really made me feel at ease. Fast forward to the delivery and just a few comments he made to me. -(while breaking my water and laughing with a nurse) I said ow, because it hurt and he wasn't paying attention.
