Went in with a bad cold/respiratory virus. I indicated that there was strep in the family so I wanted to be tested/cultured as if I had it, best to start antibiotics? She tested me for Covid and influenza a&b - all negative. She examined me and said I do not have strep. I told her regardless of that for sure I had a secondary infection - perhaps I still need an antibiotic? “No”. Gave me a prescription for a cough suppressant. During my encounter with Dr. Wood, the on-call physician, I regrettably experienced a high degree of rudeness, and she seemed uninterested in listening to my concerns. Fortunately, she is not my primary care physician. This is the first time in my entire life where I encountered such discourteous behavior from a medical professional. It is disheartening to observe such conduct, and I believe it reflects poorly on NCH medical facility. Love Dr. Wood. She always listens, takes me seriously, and we have solved every issue together.
Dr. Wood is very caring and listens to all my concerns. Referring me to appropriate doctors when needed within my plan, and when I call in everyone is very professional and nice. Lab techs are amazing don't even feel it, and that's great when you hate needles.
