She is very upfront about what can and can not be done. The formulary she gave me worked with all 3 of my children. When I lost Joshua she grieved with me. She was very supportive. I used her 2004, & 2005 pregnant each time. I used another dr and I felt like what he was giving me would not work and didn’t feel any changes so I used Dr Cowart method and Gabby was born in 2012. She is who she is and I wouldn’t trade her for the world.
I had IVF in this office in 2000, and just found my old files. Dr. Cowart is smart and I liked that she was straight-forward, but she was also snarky, gossiping disparagingly about other patients with staff in front of me. Jerelyn Fyvolent, an office worker, had trouble reconciling my account against insurance benefits and was hostile to me about it, in person and writing. I still have letters from her that shocked me all over again. I ended up at Reproductive Medicine Group, WAY better.
Dr Cowart treated me for infertility. At 42, I had seen the statistics on how unlikely IVF was to work, and knew that there are other doctors who would not even bother trying IVF without donor eggs. But Dr Cowart performed testing to determine the cause of the infertility and concluded that intrauterine insemination (IUI) was worth a shot. She spent a good amount of time explaining her reasoning to me. After 2 rounds of IUI, I was pregnant. Her instincts are right on and she saved me thousands.
I saw Ms Cohen, the Nurse Practitioner for gyn wellness visit. Subsequently there was a problem and I had hospital treatment and follow-up by Dr. Cowart. I found both of them to be warm and caring. The appointments are not booked so close together that you don't have time to have your questions discussed. I have read the other comments and I wondered if we were evaluating the same doctor. I thought the care and caring was wonderful. I am a registered nurse.
The staff is rude and they lie. Hard to get someone on the phone and have fun having them bill your insurance for seeing Dr. Cowart when all you will see isn't a NP.
I have been with Dr. Cowart since the 90's never had to wait long, but if she did have a of a wait I took in consideration that she gave me the same attention. At 19 I found her when another Dr. was ready do a complete hysterectomy due to endometriosis, and we will just say Thank GOD I met Dr. Cowart who saved me from that. I guess if you want the best, sometimes patience is necessary, not enough room to include all the great things Allow me to say if you want the best she is it!
Terrible and she has no business treating infertility patients. Her medical equipment looks like antiques. She will spend hours talking about nothing to do with your treatment. No empathy. Just not a nice woman! Would never recommend for infertility treatments or anything
Horrible experience! Dr. Cowart is as mean and nasty as they come. She lacks any kind of bedside manner, patient empathy, or class. This Dr. is condescending, patronizing, demeaning, and arrogant. She is impatient with an extremely short fuse. She did not hesitate to get aggressive and make an uncomfortable scene right in her office. I would not refer her to my worst enemy. Dr. Cowart is a truly wicked woman.
The staff is very welcoming, and friendly. I came in very scared about what they were going to tell me (though I self diagnosed it before going in), and when I came out with the answer that I thought it was going to be I wasn't scared anymore. Dr Cowart was great at explainging PCOS to me and what to expect and what I would need to do to help get my weight and the symptoms in check. Highly recommend her for this disease if you have it or think you might have it.
