My first appointment with Dr Burke was just with my son and I. He was extremely rude and arrogant. He told me my son’s surgery would not be covered by insurance. He was so sure of it. Didn’t want to listen to anything I had to say about my son’s accident, literally cutting me off mid sentence. He was treating me like I was walking in trying to get a nose job for my son when in reality he needed repair from an accident. Worst experience with a doctor ever. I was referred to him because my primary doctor has not been able fix my reoccurring problem for 4 years. He never got within 3 feet of me. He was condescending arrogant and told me he didn't know what to do that if I wanted he could send me to another ent specialist, I asked aren't you that specialist, he didn't like that and did not help with anything. Wasted my time and money. He was in and out so fast and basically said I don't know I can send you somewhere else
Saw Dr. Carl Berk who is a ENT at the Sanford location for First Health of the Carolinas/Pinehurat Surgical. I must say that he was very to the point, knowledgeable and helpful when discussing options for removal of my 20 year old son’s face shrapnel. No small talk, no jokes to relieve any tensions. If I’m being honest I’d rather have a knowledgeable Doctor with years of experience to possibly save my life than a polite, funny idiot with a great bedside manner any day of the week. My first Visit with him and it was horrible. He was so rude and did not introduce himself or shake my hand. The whole visit he was so short with everything he done and said. Didnt understand nothing he said. I will not be back to see him at all. Waste of time and money.
