In August 2023, Kevin went to the ER for some pain and found out he had cancer. He was immediately sent to Boone Hospital in Columbia for further testing and a biopsy. It was confirmed during his week stay there that he had a Chordoma. Since a Chordoma is very rare, he was referred to Barnes Jewish with Dr. Molina that was willing to take this case on.
