From the moment she met my first son in the hospital when he was born, she looked at him as if he was the most precious thing on the earth. Now he is 8 and my youngest is 5 and both Dr. Lasics and Dr. Shlagel (they are a team that rotate days) have always treated our concerns with the utmost respect. Only downside is that sometimes it can be a while waiting to see the doctor.
At an annual physical, Dr. Lasics said she wanted to meet alone with my 13 YO daughter to talk about "girl things", and asked me to wait outside the exam room. I had no problem with this. The nurse came and got me 20 minutes later, saying that the doctor was gone. My daughter said that the doctor and she discussed diet and exercise, things in which I am vitally involved. These are not girl or boy issues at all. I should have been included. I did not receive any summary from Dr. Lasics.
