I came to Dr. Bast with a complex, 30-year-old foreign-body issue in my maxillary sinus and alveolar bone that had caused years of symptoms. From the first consultation, his calm expertise, clear communication, and genuine care put me at ease. The surgery was flawless--no complications, minimal discomfort, and the post-op CBCT confirmed 100 % removal of the material with beautiful early healing. Throughout recovery, Dr. Bast and his team have been incredibly attentive and supportive.I am deeply grateful for his precision, kin... read more

My wife had an Orthognathic procedure (double jaw surgery) performed byDr. Bast and his surgical team. The entire procedure, both pre and post surgery, has been outstanding. Although an extremely invasive surgery, the procedure resulted in a manageable amount of pain, with minimal swelling and bruising. The recovery period is going well, with a return of all nerve sensation, and jaw range o... read more

OS Dr.Scott Podlesh placed a dental implant. Dr.Scott Podlesh referred me to UCSF because I started having excruciating pain right after the dental implant was placed. OS Dr.Brian Bast and other UCSF OS's told me they saw nothing wrong with the dental implant. The pain got progressively worse and worse. After years over a decade I went to another medical institution. They took a MRI. I ended up needing a serious brain surgery. UCSF OS's ruined my entire life. Do not trust UCSF Oral Surgeons.
