Dr Cameron has a fantastic bedside manner - not all physicians have this! This, along with his medical/surgical experience of course is very important to me. He listens to your concerns and answers all questions you have. His nurse Maria, is just as fabulous as he is.
Dr Cameron did a acdf fusion c3 c4 and did a amazing job. He saved my everyday life. If you need this surgery I recommend him.
Worse Dr I have met at VCU so uncompasionate. Worse experience of my life, from him to his nurse. After I am cleared from surgery I never want to see him or any of his workers again. I've never felt this way about any Dr. He's a horrible narcissist Dr. He ruined me not fixing anything but creating worse problems left to deal with for life. I have never been treated so poorly by any Dr. And my Mother worked for me MCV in the 60s and 70s. I adore Dr Koontz there at MCV. They need to get rid of him. Dr. Cameron completely botched by spinal fusion surgery. He ripped the nerve controlling my right side vocal cord beyond repair. I could barely speak above a whisper for 3 years and sound like Batman. I had to undergo another surgery to install and implant to get any voice at all. On top of that my neck still hurts the same as it did before the spinal fusion. He and his staff could not have cares less this happened to me, nothing so much as an apology or explanation of how or why this happened. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!
Dr. Cameron is a great surgeon, he fixed my neck, anterior curvical fusion.
