I’m writing this because I wish someone had written it for me before I made this decision. I underwent keratopigmentation believing it would improve my appearance and confidence. What I was not properly warned about is how unnatural the result can look up close, especially in light. We came from Reno, Nevada and our optometrist Dr. Dan Rowan is amazing and caught our son’s Keratoconus early as a teenager. He referred us Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler an expert in Keratoconus. He did Intacs in the right eye and Holcomb C3-R in both eyes and everything went amazing! We are so grateful for both our doctors! If your parent with a child with KC, definitely look up these doctors!!!!

Dr. Brian and staff were great. I was a little worried about the procedure (Brighter Eyes) beforehand but the staff was very gentle and patient and everything turned out great. I am now 4 years post-op and the results have exceeded my expectations. I've had no complications and continue to feel like I have a new lease on life thanks to this procedure.
I am Dr. Brian’s wife and he performed Fortified CK for my reading vision 5 years ago. I refused to wear reading glasses and had to squint to read. I 100% trusted him and the procedure that I had to have it - he comes home every day to this patient so it has to work :) It was easy, pain-free and I still have never worn readers since. I’ve referred many family and friends to have the procedure and all have been happy!
