It is a shame that there aren’t more people as gifted and with such a unique perspective on life as Dr. Brett. With him, I learned to focus more on the present and leave the past behind. Also, my social anxieties have vanished since I have started my meetings with him. Following his pieces of advice day after day finally got me where I wanted: at peace. I couldn’t even admit that I had a problem at my first appointment with Dr. Brett. I was somehow ashamed of saying out loud that I despise myself, and that compared to others I was nothing. But, he found a way to make me talk. He gained my confidence by being honest and keeping the conversation in my comfort zone. My first session with Dr. Brett took place after I finished high school. Because I didn’t get into the college I wanted, and couldn’t find a job, I started feeling helpless. I considered myself a failure and I really thought everyone around me thought of me like that.
