Dr. J. Bradford Shingleton is an excellent cataract surgeon. Highly-knowledgeable in his field, I'm grateful to have been referred to him for surgery. Prior to the surgery, both eyes were thoroughly assessed. Pre-surgery support, day of surgery and follow-up care was all excellent and the results beyond my expectations.
I will never recommend this doctor for anything. He ruined my vision for many years. From 45/20 vision I ended up with almost 100/20 vision and also with unstable astigmatism. Before I never were eyeglasses for distance but I had to do after his surgery. For many years I had to change eyeglasses until I found a doctor who thru a different surgery corrected this problem. Dr Singleton does too many surgeries a day , like in a factory ,to be able to devote time to each patient. I suffered a lot for his carelessness .
He lifted the film on my right eye after I’d had a stroke. I cannot see as well with my left eye as I did before and have learned that the attachment was not secure. He admits to NOTHING being wrong. He was great in his day but s
Dr. Shingleton is listed in Best Doctors in America and other such publications and he has more than earned this reputation.
I was sent to Dr Shingleton by my OD when a cataract in my right eye blinded me at age 60. The result was perfect. Better than 20/20 vision. Now at 65 my left eye is bad. I was fit in very quickly around Christmas and will have my surgery in a few weeks. Dr. Shingleton is very organized and brings top level care with minimal complications. I would only go to another surgeon if I had no choice. There is a fair amount of waiting but he is and his associates are superb.
