If you are going to deliver your child here and are a woman of color -- May God be with you. This place is not for us, you will be neglected. My labor went fast my delivery nurse Jessica was more focused on setting up for an epidural that never happened than the fact that the baby was coming either way. Listen, the labor and delivery team I had saved my baby’s life. I had planned on doing a home birth and my midwife ended up being less than stellar at the last minute. In an emergency I went here on 10/29 into the wee hours of 10/30 and I wish I could remember the teams name. My nurse was Bernice or Berenice, I had a beautiful Black woman doctor with fly braids around 11 pm that night of 10/29 and they both noticed my banged heart rate was dropping after I got an epidural.
