Listen, the labor and delivery team I had saved my baby’s life. I had planned on doing a home birth and my midwife ended up being less than stellar at the last minute. In an emergency I went here on 10/29 into the wee hours of 10/30 and I wish I could remember the teams name. Nursing staff and doctors are wonderful. Felt very attended to and supported during my time there.
The Drs here were PHENOMINAL. Specifically the one who delivered me, she no longer is there but I was in good hands with all the hospitalists. I gave birth in a holiday, so wait times in the triage was like 7 hours, hospital staff was low. The nursing staff...I had some great L-D nurses but the one who helped deliver my baby...I will never forget the experience. I had such a wonderful experience at Decatur Labor & Delivery. From the moment I arrived, the entire team was so nice, organized, and attentive. But the true STAR of the show was Nurse Abby. When I say this nurse was patient, kind, attentive, and empathetic to my every need—I mean it with my whole heart.
