I recently saw Dr. Bo Loy for knee pain, and he was exceptionally easy to communicate with, very professional and personable. After reviewing my X-rays, asking thorough questions about my symptoms and examining my knee, he quickly arrived at a diagnosis. Dr. Loy has been nothing but great to me; his skills as orthopedic surgeon, have enabled me to go back to the sports I love, after my injury. He is very dynamic, has a positive attitude (and funny). He is very knowledgeable, listened and addressed all my concerns at each visit. He explains the different options available with the pro and cons, regarding procedures and recovery etc. He also has been involved in different sports himself, so I think he understands athletes/very active patients' needs and concerns very well. I got a 2nd opinion from Dr. Loy for a shoulder problem I have. He provided a clearer understanding of my problem with a more comprehensive solution than the prior provider. Dr. Loy was very attentive, a great listener, and very knowledgeable.
Dr Loy is extremely knowledgeable about orthopedic medicine. I appreciated the way he explained our son's injuries without being patronizing. Unfortunately, a visit to Dr Loy means something is ripped, torn or broken so I hope we don't have to see him again for a few years. That said, we're really lucky to have him serving our Mammoth Lakes/Bishop community. Thanks!
