Never in my life have I felt so uncomfortable with a provider. Dr. Amman is a robot and completely dismissive. She does not listen and she gets extremely defensive. Stay way!
I have been a patient of Dr Amann for over 10 years now and have had a great experience. Working as a team, the two of us have crafted a precise regimen of medications designed to treat my chronic depression. I am able to set up appointments, either online or in office, to check in with her consistently and update my progress. Medication refills are handled quickly by her staff. I would highly recommend her for medicine therapy.
I’m really surprised by the negative reviews! My daughter has been seeing Dr. Amann for years. Dr. Amann has been nothing but compassionate, kind and responsive. She has helped my daughter with ADHD, depression and mood dysregulation. Her thorough, knowledgeable approach has saved her life and improved her quality of life. I think Dr. Amann is excellent and is worth the wait for the first appointment!
She was arrogant and rude. She objects to providing explanations for medications and simply gives one then another then another. Everything else is shuffled off to a barely qualified Masters person with little knowledge
Do not go here. They make so many medication related mistakes, the office is rude and unhelpful, and they don't have any compassion. The mistakes have negatively impacted my life and they've requested prescriptions I don't need and they couldn't be returned which wasted my money.
I have been seeing Dr Amann for almost 2 years. As with most psychiatrists, it was a long wait time for my first visit, I expected that, that is why I had my therapist to visit on a weekly or twice weekly basis. Once I started to see Dr. Amann, it has never been a problem to get an appointment, even when I’ve needed one in an “emergency”. She knows her “stuff” when it comes to medication. I’ve been to numerous psychiatrists as I have lifelong mental problems. Finding the “right fit” in a Dr. takes a while, same with medicati... read more
Only cares about $$ and could care less about your well being.
I wouldn't recommend Dr. Amman to anyone
There is just something "not right" when you visit her office and Dr. Amann is a big part of this dysfunction. Her office staff is rude when you need to call for a billing question or appointment time. Dr. Amann doesn't get to know kids. She reads questions from her computer and rushes you out the door. She's giving my child serious medication but really avoids questions. I think she's competent but if you are looking for someone who is understanding, keep going. She doesn't care.
