I had an excellent experience visiting Dr. Metaxas. Has been dealing with a foot chronic issue and he managed to correctly diagnose and treat the issue over a period of a month. Very knowledgable doctor, and high tech practice overall.

I went today to get some new orthotics for my shoes since my old ones were 5 years old. I had been going to this group, seeing Dr. Bulkin for about 40 years, and before that, I took my mother to see Dr. Bulkin, and most of our church members also saw him, so I was expecting to have a great expereince. I even knew someone who works there who was a neighbor since she was a child, though she wasn't there today. Unfortunately, Dr. Bulkin has retired and Dr. Metaxis has taken over. I personally saw Dr. Metaxes, followed by my daughter a year later. Dr. Metaxes and his team are all friendly and convivial, but also knowledgable and skilled in what they do. My daughter's treatment has come right up against a pending out-of-state move, and Dr. Metaxes and team have made sure that everything is timed right to get her problem as resolved as possible until if/when we need to establish continuing treatment in our new home.

I took my son to see Dr. Bill Metaxas at San Mateo Podiatry Group. From the moment we walked into the office, we felt welcomed and welI cared for. Dr. Metaxas was incredibly kind, patient and thorough in both the exam and explanation of what was going on with my son. My son was very nervous but he made him feel at ease by answering any questions and making sure he was comfortable. Pretentious doctor with a high level of skill. He’s a very competent doctor with a smug attitude. We’re both Greek so maybe that played in. Expect to receive treatment with the latest technology. Friendly staff but if you disagree with him he gets defensive. I remember correcting him one time based on prior information another foot care specialist gave me and he looked stunned. He refused to agree with me on pain management options, probably because I use Cannabis, and looked at me as if I was a drug addict looking for pain ... read more
