Dr. Beverly Zavaleta (BZ) was primary care physician for patient who complained of breast pain, night sweats, fever & increased susceptibility to infections. Dr. BZ kept treating for depression and prescribed over the counter vitamins to boost immunity. Patient returned with palpable lumps in breasts a year later & was assured by Dr. BZ that the lumps are benign. Patient requested a mamogram but Dr. BZ turned it down. 5 months later patient was diagnosed with stage2 cancer at MD Anderson.
