Woke up this morning and my knee feels GOOD!! Surgery went well and I’m overall thankful I went with HSS. I was in pain for over a year and half. Hoping my knee continues to heal with each waking day. PT is hard but getting there.
I live in FL and had a partial knee replacement with lateral reticular release when I was 29 by a FL surgeon. I was unable to walk or put any weight on that knee/leg following the surgery. I saw Dr. Shubin Stein in NY, 9 months after the failed knee replacement in FL when I realized I wouldn’t recover. I had my surgery with her for MPFL reconstruction, It’s been 6 months since the surgery and I can actually run again! I haven’t ran since November of 2020.
