Dr. Appel is great! She goes above and beyond, is genuinely kind-hearted and personable, and is accommodating regarding schedule and payments. She and her staff, plus the office vibe, make you feel at ease, comfortable, and taken care of. I've never had to wait more than two minutes in the waiting room. I can say I've enjoyed all of my visits, even when I had to have a needle in my heel. ;)
the front desk staff after getting my insurance information and checking me in, never warned me that the doctor was not in my network (I have experience with other doctors when staff tell you upfront about the charges), so I had an appointment without realizing that I had to pay $250, while if I went to in network I would not be charged. The doctor has experience and is attentive, but the experience was spoiled by the front office letting me have the appointment without warning about the charge in advance.
