Hearing I needed a hip replacement was very upsetting but I could not be more grateful for the care and expertise I received from Dr. Sax and his team at The Center for Orthopedics and Movement. The information I received prior to and after surgery was informative and key to my being an active participant in the healing process. The surgery was a great success. Four months out I am pain free and back to my active lifestyle. If you are contemplating a hip replacement, I highly recommend Dr. Sax and his team!!
As an avid walker, I first met Dr. Saks when I could no longer walk long distances. As a professional artist, nature photographer and fresh air diva, I was getting increasingly painful hip, leg and back pain. Regular and pool PT only increased my pain. And cortisone injections, ointments, gels, and icing were only temporary solutions. Xrays revealed this pain was not in my imagination. i just had a hip replacement yesterday with Dr.sax.. i was able to walk with a walker right after and went home same day! i wasn’t in to much pain until the spinal wore off later that evening’ but i have pain meds ! so today is probably gonna be the worst day ! honestly i’ve had to get up and move every 2 hours or leg goes numb ! but i’m gonna do my best to with healing .. eating good food and lots of water and rest! Thank you DR.Sax i have faith in the healing process:)
